Uros Island, Amantani & Taquile Tour 2D / 1N

Description

Within the greater lake of Titicaca, there are towns of men and women in solidarity that share their culture, and their ancestral traditions. These natives are great navigators and masters of the fabric that preserve their wisdom in the designs and decoration of their clothing and In their traditions. The island is also of great landscape value due to its location in the vastness of the lake.

This trip is very popular for the opportunity to interact with the natives who still maintain their innocence of mind and heart, due to the very simple and calm lifestyle they lead. The houses are very simple and cozy, all overlooking the Lake, this combination of culture and nature makes this place a charm.

Itinerary

Day 1: Uros – Amantani

On this tour we will first visit the islands of the Uros by taking a comfortable boat from the port of Puno (30 minutes) after visiting 2 floating islands we will continue with the trip to the island of Amantani (2½ hours) we will arrive at averaging noon, where we will be cordially received by local families.

Accompanied by the families we will take a walk (30 min uphill) to the local houses of Amantani Island, where we will have typical Andean food from the island. After settling down and resting we will hike to the top of the island to know the Inca ceremonial temples Pachamama and Pachatata.

After appreciating the beautiful views of the lake and its splendor, we will wait until sunset to contemplate one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world! Finally we will return to dinner at the local houses, during the night the families will organize a welcome party (Optional) where we can dance and dress the local clothing all this accompanied by local musicians.

Day 2: Amantani – Taquile

We start the day with a typical breakfast and then descend to the port of Amantani (8 am), we will take our boat to the island of Taquile, we will walk uphill to the main square, from where we can observe the island and learn more about customs and textile industry of the island, after lunch we will descend to the port of Amantani (01:00 pm.) to return to Puno where we will arrive at the average 04:00 pm.
