Description
The Sacred Valley of the Incas is without a doubt a key area to the Incan rooting. Its pleasant climate and fertile soils make the perfect combination to develop flora and fauna. This was also the road to the jungle and for that reasons a area with fruit trees and sub-tropical plants. The Sacred Valley is situated at an altitude of 2800 meters which combines the enchantment of the beautiful landscape with the important archaeological sites.
Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Sacred Valley- Aguas Calientes
The tour begins by picking you up at your hotel at 8:00 a.m. We head towards the village of Pisac where we visit the handy-craft market and the archaeological site before we pass through Coya, Lamay and Calca before having a lunch buffet in Urubamba. We continue the journey to the archaeological park of Ollantaytambo before we take the train to the village of Aguas Calientes. Reception and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
After breakfast we board the bus that will take us to Machu Picchu to see the sun rise. We will get our longed for visit to Machu Picchu accompanied by our guide who will give us time to explore and learn more about this marvelous Incan city. In the afternoon we take the bus back to Aguas Calientes before taking the train back to Cusco. Reception and transfer to the hotel.
