Description
Reading coca leaves is the fortune telling method that is most famous and respected in South America: its considered as an Inca origin but in reality is much older than that and has been used by all the pre-Incan cultures which not only used it as a fortune telling method but also as a spiritual thing, the soul of the plant that never dies.
The coca leaf ceremony begins by welcoming the client where the shaman will ask for the clients name and the reasons why he’s visiting the shaman. First we pray to the Apus (the mountains) to show our respect, then a small blanket will be laid down and the shaman blows towards the mountains with 3 coca leaves. After this introduction the shaman puts a fist full of coca leaves on the blanket, the way the leaves fall on the blanket forms the message from the mountains. The shaman will concentrate mainly on health, family, friends and work. This age old practice opens up your spirit to the Andean world and an age old culture that preserves in our modern times. We are very thankful for our shamans and we hope that you also will experiment their gifts during a coca leaf ceremony.
